Going Underground
So I had my parents down last Saturday and had to entertain them for a couple of hours - We went to Hyde Park...

I had to go find somewhere to go park the car and since all the parking was suspended due to a rather unusual event I decided to try the Marble Arch underground car park.
I haven't been here since I was like 11 years old. It was a bit like stepping into an episode of the prisoner.

There were no obvious exits other than a few emergency exit passages. They surround the perimeter of the car park and only have one or two exits along the way. I ended up running around frantically trying to get out of the car park and in the end I had to walk out of the vehicle entrance.

The other weird thing was the large number of old Rolls Royce and other cars gathering dust...

or covered in tarpaulins...

Never seen anything like it.

If you are ever in the neighbourhood have a look - it's quite spooky.

The 5D seemed to quite like iso3200!

Oh I just saw this today about the Anon/CoS protest recently. Will the last free person to leave the UK please turn out the light. Fucking governments.

Hope you are all well!

thats some spooky shit mate, i remember parking in a similar place in london and couldn't believe my car was the only one on the level that wasn't some kind of supercar! it then dawned on me that i was in the fucking reserved section for season tickets. needless to say, i moved the peugeot 306 heh heh

haha, I started wondering the same thing when I parked the car. There was a Lamborghini convertible and a Porsche supercar down there along with all the Rolls Royces. I kept expecting someone to come up to me and say - sorry sir you can't park there!

that parking lot is creepy. there's a horror movie about an old car killing people on tv today.

btw, i'll be in london in september...drop me a note if you want to meet up. would be great!

I think it was more creepy due to the lack of people. What is the name of the movie? I remember seeing Christine a long time ago about a killing car - very spooky.
Let me know when you're in London and I'm sure we can meet up for a bit!

sure, I'll let you know...I'll be there from sept 15-24

that place loos crrrrrreepy.....i really really wouldnt like to be in one of those long hallways...id run from the start to the end of it =P
and yes, they look great at 3200!

It was creepy, there was only one guy there for assistance. I didn't feel too safe down there, knowing how fond my countrymen seem to be of knives and guns these days.
Hope you're well.

indeed the 5d does well at 3200! that was odd to see all of those classic cars parked in there!

and .. um ... those charges about that kid? like really? i really don't understand the amount of surveillance going on in the uk. what up with that?
Posted by Mark Taylo... on
Very odd! It probably costs a fortune to store your car down there each year - it cost 7 quid for two hours for me.

The UK is a surveillance state now. There are so many bad things going on here and nobody seems to give a shit as long as they can keep buying stuff and watching shite tv shows.

Thanks for dropping by.
